One thing is SORRY:For not being strong enough to be there for you when you needed me the most.For not being able to be a heroic saviour in your story—slaying your demons while I paid attention only to being my own arch-nemesis in the story I was writing for myself.For focusing on maintaining my own balance while walking along the same edge of the abyss, just on the opposite side from you. The second thing I wish I could say is THANK YOU:For allowing me a chance to know you.For carving happy memories of you during the few moments we shared together in my psyche.For sharing laughs with me in front of the great unknown that would become our future.You never truly know your friend until all the chances of truly knowing that friend are no longer there for you. Our laughs, our sorrows, our joys, our worries, our dreams, and our ideas that we shared will be forever written in sand—sand that was washed away by the merciless waves of this endless ocean we call existence.
