  • browser, device and operating-system information;

  • website usage and navigation information;

  • cookie identifiers and consent preferences;

  • account and login information where account functionality is available;

  • payment-related technical and fraud-prevention information;

  • technical information used for security, troubleshooting and spam prevention; and

  • information provided through third-party services or embedded content.

We do not intentionally collect more personal data than is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

How We Use Your Information

We may use personal data to:

  • operate, maintain and secure the website;

  • respond to enquiries and messages;

  • publish and moderate comments;

  • prevent spam, fraud, abuse and security threats;

  • process payments and protect payment-related activity;

  • create and manage user accounts where this functionality is available;

  • remember your preferences;

  • understand how visitors interact with the website;

  • diagnose technical problems and improve website performance;

  • measure website traffic and engagement;

  • improve our content, services and user experience;

  • provide or measure relevant advertising where applicable and consented to;

  • comply with legal or regulatory obligations; and

  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the circumstances, we may process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases.

Consent

We may rely on your consent when you choose to enable analytical, functional, performance or advertising cookies, or when you voluntarily agree to a particular use of your information.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before it was withdrawn.

Legitimate Interests

We may process information where it is reasonably necessary for our legitimate interests, including operating the website, maintaining security, preventing spam and fraud, responding to enquiries and improving our services.

We will not rely on legitimate interests where your rights and interests override our reasons for processing the data.

Contractual Necessity

Where you request a service, product or payment transaction from us, we may process information when necessary to provide that service, complete the transaction or take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.

Legal Obligations

We may process or retain information where necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders or other binding legal requirements.

This information may be used to:

  • publish and manage your comment;

  • identify and prevent spam;

  • maintain website security;

  • recognise previously approved commenters; and

  • investigate abuse or violations of our rules.

Information associated with an approved comment may be publicly visible, including the name, profile image, website address and comment content you choose to provide.

Octa Element Framework, Quizzes and Personalised Profiles

Sun-Noir provides interactive self-exploration tools, symbolic personality frameworks, zodiac-based interpretations and personalised digital products. These include the Octa Element Resonance Test, Octa Element Framework, Octa Zodiac Framework, elemental charts, compatibility readings and other related experiences.

To provide these experiences, certain information may be collected, processed or used to generate personalised results, depending on the features you choose to access.

Octa Quiz Responses

When you participate in the Octa Element Resonance Test or another interactive questionnaire, you may provide information about your preferences, behaviours, emotional responses, values, motivations and perceptions of yourself.

These responses are processed using the interpretative structure of the Octa Element Framework to calculate or determine elemental patterns, scores, symbolic archetypes and related results.

Depending on the questionnaire, these results may include elemental categories such as Spark, Mask, Heart, Hammer, Blade, Crown, Compass and Shadow.

The purpose of this processing is to deliver the requested quiz results, personalised interpretations and opportunities for self-reflection.

Quiz responses and generated results may constitute personal data when they identify you or can reasonably be linked to you.

Birth Information and Zodiac Interpretations

Certain Sun-Noir features may request birth-related information, including:

  • Date of birth;

  • Time of birth, where relevant;

  • Place of birth, where relevant;

  • Zodiac signs and astrological placements derived from that information.

This information is used to calculate or generate symbolic zodiac interpretations, astrological placements, compatibility readings and personalised charts.

Birth information is requested only where relevant to the chosen experience. Features requiring more detailed astrological calculations may need additional information to produce the requested results.

Where possible, we aim to limit the information collected to what is necessary for the specific service.

Generated Profiles and Interpretations

Sun-Noir may combine information submitted through quizzes, birth-related information and framework-specific calculations to create personalised digital profiles.

These may include elemental distributions, symbolic archetypes, zodiac placements, compatibility patterns and written interpretations.

Generated profiles are interpretative products created through the rules, calculations and symbolic principles of the relevant framework.

These interpretations are not clinical psychological assessments, medical diagnoses, scientifically validated personality measurements or objective determinations of a person’s identity, character or future.

They are intended for personal exploration, entertainment, philosophical reflection and creative interpretation.

Users should not rely on these results as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

Automated Processing and Profiling

Certain Sun-Noir features use automated calculations and predefined interpretative rules to generate results from information supplied by users.

Under applicable data-protection law, some of this activity may constitute profiling because it involves automated processing of information relating to personal characteristics, preferences or behaviour.

Such processing is intended to produce the symbolic results requested by the user.

Standard symbolic quiz results and interpretative profiles are not intended to make decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant consequences for users.

Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

Depending on the service and circumstances, we may process quiz responses, birth information and generated profiles for the following purposes:

Providing requested services: To calculate quiz scores, generate charts, provide purchased interpretations and deliver requested features. Where processing is necessary to fulfil a service or purchase, we may rely on contractual necessity under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

Optional participation and additional uses: Where we request consent for optional processing, we rely on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Users may withdraw consent at any time, subject to applicable legal limitations.

Security and service improvement: We may process limited technical and usage information for website security, troubleshooting and legitimate operational improvements under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, subject to the balancing of applicable individual rights.

Legal compliance: Information may be processed or retained where necessary to comply with accounting, taxation, consumer-protection or other legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

Sensitive Personal Information

Some questionnaire responses may reveal personal feelings, beliefs or experiences. Depending on their content and context, information submitted by users may also reveal categories of personal data that receive additional protection under the GDPR.

We encourage users not to submit unnecessary medical information, detailed accounts of traumatic experiences or other highly sensitive personal information when using general self-exploration tools.

Where processing involves special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR, Sun-Noir will require an applicable legal exception and implement appropriate safeguards.

Storage and Retention of Quiz and Profile Information

The storage and retention of information depend on how the relevant feature operates and whether the user has an account, requests a digital product or otherwise chooses to retain their results.

Information may be processed temporarily to generate results or retained where necessary to provide an ongoing service, fulfil a purchase, maintain an account or comply with legal obligations.

Personal information should not be retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Users may request information about the personal data held about them and request its deletion where applicable under the GDPR.

Third-Party Processing

Sun-Noir relies on external technology providers to operate its website, deliver digital services, protect transactions and maintain technical infrastructure.

Depending on the feature used, these providers may process limited personal information such as IP addresses, device information, transaction information, technical identifiers or information necessary to perform their contracted services.

Third-party providers identified in our website’s privacy and cookie disclosures include:

  • Stripe: Payment processing, transaction security and fraud prevention.

  • Google reCAPTCHA: Protection against automated submissions, spam and abuse.

  • Google Analytics: Website traffic and engagement analysis, subject to applicable consent requirements.

  • CookieYes: Recording and managing cookie-consent preferences.

  • WordPress and associated website infrastructure: Content management, website functionality and account-related services.

Website hosting, email delivery, security, backups and other infrastructure providers may also process information as necessary to deliver their services.

We do not assume that every provider receives access to quiz responses, birth information or generated profiles. Any such disclosure depends on the technical integration used for the relevant feature.

Where third parties process personal data on our behalf, we seek to use appropriate contractual and technical safeguards as required by applicable law.

Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, such transfers must be supported by an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another valid transfer mechanism.

Your Choices and Rights

Participation in optional quizzes and self-exploration features is voluntary.

Depending on the service and applicable legal requirements, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict certain processing, object to processing, receive eligible information in a portable format or withdraw consent.

Withdrawing consent does not invalidate processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

To submit a request concerning your quiz responses, birth information, generated profiles or other personal information, contact connect@julo.digital.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate or another competent supervisory authority.

Gravatar

An anonymised string created from your email address, commonly called a hash, may be sent to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use that service.

If your comment is approved and Gravatar is active, your Gravatar profile image may be visible publicly next to your comment.

Gravatar is operated by Automattic and processes information according to its own privacy practices.

Media Uploads

If the website allows you to upload images, documents or other media, avoid uploading files containing embedded location information, including EXIF GPS data, unless you intentionally want that information to be accessible.

Visitors may be able to download publicly available images and extract location or other metadata embedded in those files.

You are responsible for ensuring that files you upload do not unintentionally disclose personal, confidential or sensitive information.

Contact and Communications

When you contact us through email, a contact form or another communication channel, we may collect:

  • your name;

  • your email address;

  • the content of your message;

  • attachments you provide; and

  • technical information associated with the submission.

We use this information to review and respond to your message, maintain records of relevant communications, prevent abuse and resolve disputes.

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.

User Accounts

Where account registration is available, we may store the personal information users provide in their profiles.

Registered users may be able to view, edit or delete certain profile information. Some account information, such as usernames, may not be changeable through the standard account interface.

Website administrators may access and edit account information where necessary to administer the website, provide support, maintain security or comply with legal obligations.

Password Resets

If you request a password reset, technical information such as your IP address may be included in or associated with the reset process for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Pages on Sun-Noir may include embedded content such as:

  • videos;

  • images;

  • audio;

  • social-media posts;

  • maps;

  • articles;

  • widgets; or

  • other third-party features.

Embedded content may behave as though you visited the third-party website directly.

Third-party providers may collect information about you, place cookies, use tracking technologies and monitor your interaction with their content. This may include tracking your activity where you have an account with the provider and are logged into that account.

Where technically possible, embedded content requiring non-essential cookies will remain blocked until you consent to the appropriate cookie category.

Sun-Noir does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites. You should review the privacy and cookie policies of those providers for further information.

WordPress Cookies

Sun-Noir uses WordPress as part of its website infrastructure. Depending on the features you use, WordPress may place the following cookies.

Comment Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies.

These cookies are provided for convenience so that you do not have to enter the same information again when leaving another comment. They may remain on your device for up to one year.

Browser-Test Cookie

When visiting a login page, WordPress may place a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies.

This cookie does not contain information intended to identify you and is normally removed when you close your browser.

Standard login cookies may remain active for approximately two days. Display-option cookies may remain for approximately one year.

If you select Remember Me, your login session may remain active for approximately two weeks.

Login cookies are removed when you log out, although certain preference cookies may remain until they expire or are deleted.

  • Stripe, for secure payment processing and fraud prevention;

  • Google reCAPTCHA, for bot, spam and abuse prevention;

Cookies Currently in Use

The cookie list generated by our consent-management system identifies cookies detected on the website, including their:

  • name;

  • provider;

  • purpose;

  • category; and

  • duration.

This information may change when website features, plugins, integrations or third-party services are added, removed or updated.

Where a category displays “No cookies to display,” our consent-management system has not currently identified any cookies assigned to that category.

You can review or change your cookie settings at any time by selecting the Consent Preferences button available on this page or through the cookie-settings link displayed elsewhere on the website.

The Consent Preferences interface allows you to:

Necessary cookies remain active because they are required for the website to function or provide services you request.
